Job Summary:

This role is responsible for assisting with the representation of the Group in relation to legal matters.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take carriage of assigned litigation matters and assist the leader and/or external counsel with outsourced litigation matters as instructed
  • Proactively monitor changes in laws and regulations, analyzing their impact on the FamGuard Group's operations and advising relevant teams on necessary adjustments
  • Conduct legal research related to all aspects of the business of the FamGuard Group, using the most suitable resources and provide accurate and appropriate research memorandums for consideration
  • Participate in contract research on an identified schedule and liaise with other companies concerning knowledge sharing
  • Conduct legal training
  • Monitor adherence to relevant policies and regulations

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years Call to the Bahamas Bar
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in situations that often require eliciting or sustaining co-operation and participation
  • High level of self-confidence and dedication, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
